## How it works

- **Guests in the rush.** Most guests arrive in the half hour around the start, so the calculator plans for that window, not the whole evening.
- **Seconds per guest.** A QR scan takes a few seconds; questions, wristbands or a bag check add more. Time a few at your dry run and use that.
- **Scanning points.** Guests in the rush multiplied by seconds per guest, divided by the seconds in the window, rounded up, plus one spare for the help lane.
